Logseq 2.0 finally arrives.

Personally I'm not happy that the markdown version is being put on the shelf...

I typed some thoughts into @logseq yesterday evening on my phone, and let @syncthing sync the .md files between phone and laptop.

This morning, instead of
- thought 1
- thought 2

i see the file on my laptop is
-
- thought 2

Baffled, I open my phone and check and before my eyes see the line disappear and be replaced by "- ".

My first and immediate concern now is "when and where else has this happened?" and it's safe to say I’ve lost a lot of trust in this setup.

Anyone experience the same?

Hi, a time ago I chose Osidian over Logseq (Don't really remember why) but I always disliked it being proprietary software. Since then my Osidian workflow have become similar to how Logseq works, except for two things and one of them is the exalidraw plugin. My questions are

  • How do whiteboars integrates with the rest of logseq?
  • How do whiteboars handle hiperlinks, iframes and other embeds?
  • How do whiteboars handle imports and exports?
  • Can you use some sorts of templates?
  • Is there a defined future for whiteboars in the db version? I read that they will implement it when they now how to handle it but this is not very explanatory. Will the new implementation be compatible with the old one? Is there new information in the matter?

These are my questions, thanks for reading!

UPDATE: For the record Logseq whiteboards use Tldraw wich save files with the .edn extension while excalidraw uses .excalidraw so while you cannot use logseq whiteboards for excalidraw files directly you can embed excalidraw canvas inside any logseq page and whiteboard and create new ones with the /draw command.

I'm not really a fan of posts just linking to youchoob, but I thought I'd add this here because it's a nice independant view of how Logseq MD and Logseq DB functionality is slightly different now... plus where the bugs are.

I think it's almost usable now... maybe for testing / playing with, but maybe not if your job depends on it (mine does).

Hello @_elena,
I'm new to Mastodon and the Fediverse, I've started experimenting after listening to your episode in the @projetslibres_podcast.

I'm kinda confused about the integration between Mastodon and Lemmy, I just know it's all activitypub. I'm seeing random toots from Lemmy I'm not subscribed to (the toots don't have any hashtag).

I did subscribe to @logseq thought, could it be related?

I just love @logseq !!! It fits perfectly with my way to think

What is a good post/article etc. I could read to understand what the current state of the DB version of #logseq is? What is the roadmap in terms of dates and an in terms of features?

L'appropriation continue !

Will logseq sync be open source?

https://discuss.logseq.com/t/will-logseq-sync-be-open-source/31903

There was some discussion about this question with Tienson on Discord, and I thought it would be good to share a summary of that conversation here. Logseq MD relies on RSAPI for sync. This is open source. Logseq DB will rely on the new RTC...

I've been using Logseq for quite a while now and love it, however I'm kind of stuck on something in my process. When I work on something at my job, I'm often working on it for multiple days. How does anyone here capture that?

Do you do something like this?

[[figure out how to create x]]
  - item 1
    - subitem 1
    - subitem 2
  - item 2
[[change out every y in all of the zs]]
  - action 1
  - action 2

The thing is, I can then go to each one of those as a page and see everything, but I can't add to it for that day. I can just start the next day with an entry of [[figure out how to create x]], but I won't be able to see the whole thing while I'm doing it. I also won't be able to add something in context, like this without removing it from the day I'm working on it:

[[figure out how to create x]]
  - item 1
    - subitem 1
      - subsubitem 1
    - subitem 2
  - item 2

I see that you can copy and paste block refs, but that largely is the same thing as a page.

Do any of you deal with this? Should I not be so concerned about keeping my edits for the day?

I've used many "notes" apps for keeping thoughts, projects, lists in the past. Some have been simple others complex, yet they all left me wanting something more. Diving into #foss has brought me to @logseq and it fills my needs. Love the fact it's built aound a daily note.

I'm 99% happy with Logseq.

The one thing that I struggle with is keepng an eye on ToDos.

Is there a better way of looking at them without looking at a ToDo page or an advanced query slowing down my journal template?

Is there another application that can parse the logseq .md files so that I'm not getting behind on my work?

I feel kind of betrayed, haha. I had so many things that fell of my radar at work, especially after the holiday break.

Per the link, if you edit your config.edn around line 222, you can up that limit. I set mine to 9999 just now, and suddenly 45 items appeared.
