This community is pretty dead and the sidebar sparse so I'm going out on a limb and assuming this will be OK.

I made https://minpin.me/ recently because I've got some spare server capacity and have been thinking about ways to monetize it. Hosting crypto stuff like storj or filecoin seems like it would be too slow or not pay enough but with IPFS I can keep critical data online for people who need it and make slightly more money. If I get 1000 people paying $5/month to store 250GiB of data then maybe I can hit my self-employment number, stop working for the man, and start working for myself. It'll only take ....does math.... about 245TiB of storage. Yikes. That's not counting redundancy at the hardware storage level or redundancy at the IPFS daemon level.
