At this rate I'll have to bring it in and put it on a spin cycle to drain all the rain water out before hanging it all up indoors.

I got called from a cold caller related to a Costco compo I entered, fair enough, I've set myself up this.

But they call me on a Friday an hour before lunch (AKA everyone offloading responsibility before the weekend mode a bank holiday one at that :/ ) and when I explained this and suggested sending an email they just carried on as if it didn't matter.

I don't do well with cold callers. You're already getting my manager tone, but to further disrespect my time rather than asking when would be a good time to call back or using something less invasive seems baffling to me if you want a sale.

It seems like nearly every regional newspaper website uses Reach. I swear that nobody who actually works at these places actually uses their own sites.

  • Usually loaded with an insane number of "partners" on the cookie banner (I've seen some well into the thousands)
  • You can't read the content because the page keeps jumping about as it's loading ads in
  • Ads overlay the content with a close button so small that even a tardigrade would get pissed off over it
  • Any scroll action on your phone that isn't perfectly straight swipes you to the next article
  • Because your device has to load 26TB of ads, it takes forever to go back to the previous article
  • There's an ad between each sentence.

This has been shining in my eyes for the last 10 minutes whilst the bus driver takes a break.

Welcome to the Wednesday Whinge.

Weather's shit innit?

Anyway, now the obvious is out of the way. The Wednesday Whinge is a chance to get some of the bad thoughts out of your noggin.

Unload on your peers and we'll all agree that you really should just quit you job, bin off the partner and kids, or just actually give that neighbour a piece of your mind.

Welcome to the Wednesday Whinge.

A chance for you to moan online about all the things everyone in your real life is bored of hearing about.

A whole fresh new audience to listen to you go on and on about that one thing you just can't get over.

So go ahead and let it all out! We're really listening this time.

Welcome to the Wednesday Whinge, you bunch of whiners, you.

Welcome to the Wednesday Whinge.

Cor, last week aye. What went wrong there?

First the thing with the whatsit. Then the other one broke down. Don't even get me started on Daves antics. Phew...

What do you all think. What's had you bellyaching this week?

Welcome to Wednesday Whinge.

A place for us all come together and get some stuff off our collective chest.

Fun fact; a grumble is the name for a group of Pugs. So what's had you grumbling this week?

I also miss those clever rotating ticket spinners, it meant I could move on before any slight personal relationship could be formed

On YouTube, never seen this before but apparently it's a thing

Just went to the Met Office website to see what the weather is going to do for the next few days here in "the except the North and West". Right at the top of the page...banner ad from Royal Mail for Christmas deliveries! It's not even mid-July!

What turned you in a little grump gills, huh?
