I’m a User Experience Designer by day, and making a game has been a childhood dream of mine. I used generative AI as part of my development process, including helping with code and creating visual assets. Every asset included in the final game was personally selected, refined, placed, and directed by me to match the game’s overall vision.

Your game description doesn’t really expound on the fact that none of it is your original work.

I put "vibe-coded" in title of this post. I listed the AI that was used. So what is it you're trying to imply? This is a very proudly stated vibe-coded game.

Here it is clearly marked. Your store page says AI was used, not that it created the game in its entirety.

But who cares? Why does that matter to you? Partial AI or all AI, you still hate AI, so what difference would that make?

I didn’t say I hated AI. Glad you lived out your childhood dream. I understand AI isn’t going anywhere. I share the opinion that its use should be clearly labeled especially if you’re going to sell a product that you didn’t develop or design but merely curated.

Do you think that video game companies are suddenly going to start labeling their games AI? You don't think that that companies are already using ai to create games? In 7 years what do you think the ratio of AI game designers, vs human game designers is gonna be?

What's it matter if something is AI or not? It's playabilty and fun is what makes a game successful or not. The end product matters, not the tool used to create it.

In just 8 to 10 years, Lemmy's current thoughts about AI will be laughable to the generation of kids coming of age. lol
