I have spent a long time at Synology Photos, along with my family. We have tags and albums. Is there a good way to migrate? I'm even open to migrating manually (album by album) if I could trust the process.

USB Copy “No Permission” Error When Mirroring

Has anyone encountered this error before?

File "1-01 music_name.mp3" in task "music" failed [File/Folder Error]
Task "music" failed: [Execution failed]. Files were only partially copied.

I have tried giving permission to the music folder but this error still exists.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Why allow "everyone" to have read write permission to shared folders in order to run container manager? Wouldn't this be insecure?

I'm trying to connect to smb on synology nas using material files

• add storage > SMB server > add manually >
• Hostname: wwddiyt.synology.me
• Port: 445
• Path: blank
• Username: Username
• Password: Password
• Domain: blank

But it gives me this error below

java8.nio.file.FileSystemException:/:
java.net.ConnectException:failed to connect to
wwddiyt.synology.me/192.168.0.101 (port 445) from /: (port
0):connect failed:EACCES (Permission denied)

Just want to provide more info: I have 7 Shared folders under Volume 1 in my synology NAS. docker, home, homes... and I can access those shared folders in windows explorer by tying //NasName

I've had an issue with my router and had to replace it. Unfortunately, now my Synology NAS does not appear in the device list of the router or using Synology Assistant.

The server is connected using an Ethernet cable, so I would assume the reconnection would be automatic.

I have tried restarting the server, but it did not reconnect on successful boot.

I know it's still alive because I can hear the disks working on something, so the system is up.

Is there another way to restore connectivity?

Sounds like I may be able to connect the device to my desktop using an Ethernet cable, but to what end?
