My prediction: bazzite may have more installs than Fedora KDE by the end of the year.

kew 4.2.0 to 4.2.7 adds:

• Clickable songs, a scrollbar and mini-control buttons so you don't ever have to use the keyboard if you don't want to.

• A two-color gradient visualizer mode..

• Lots of bug fixes. We recently re-wrote the whole UI and used MVU for it, and there were some lingering issues.

This looks interesting. It's very new, so it will likely be a while before any OS would adopt it, but it definitely shows promise of a possible alternative to grub down the road

Really cool research. Overall, X11 still wins compared to Wayland(kwin) but only by 0.14 - 0.22 ms. The really bad performance hit is from XWayland which added 3.13 ms.

The brightness and gamma applet was a nice workaround for a while but stopped working last week, it increases gamma levels to 100% but doesn't disable the night light anymore; the gnome extension caffeine sounded perfect but after installing I cant open settings/config/manual, there's just a tray icon that doesn't seem to do anything.

any ideas?
