If the whole idea is to just add some friction then you can use your password manager to generate a password for that profile you can't possibly remember, instead of using a numeric PIN. That way each time you want to switch to it you will have first to go unlock your password manager.

Don't be ridiculous, I would never make the phone call directly from the Thinkpad. I would just install Asterisk on the Thinkpad and then use it as a PBX where the cell module acts as the voice gateway. And then make the call via Linphone on my mobile device connected to the Thinkpad over WiFi.

Go ahead and do it if it makes you feel good. Just be aware of what you are actually doing. Chatting with an LLM can be fun, the problem is once you start seeing it as a conscious being that actually understands what it writes, let alone understand you. Because that couldn't be further from the truth.

Not, really. Antidepressants do actually work, they have clinical trials of decades behind them. With that being said they treats the symptoms, they don't fix the underlying cause. But treating the symptoms does allow you to start working on yourself so you slowly crawl out of the hole.

Talking with LLMs and pretending they are anything but a tool all it does is further isolate you. They don't even understand what they write. They are text predicting machines guessing which words should probably go after the ones you gave as the input.

Ok, I interpreted "well behaved" as they don't jump on the kitchen counters. In that case I guess we agree that we disagree. My own two cats know the counters are off limits and don't feel the need to jump on them. I still keep the kitchen door closed when I am not home or sleeping, but there is always the chance I might forget, which is exactly why training is important.

I have heard many people say they would consider buying it if it was much cheaper, even though they have a capable gaming PC. Also, it doesn't cost Valve anything offering a barebones version. Unless they don't want to do it because their stock is limited and it is not just an issue of RAM and storage availability.
