Expecting everyone to individually make choices that benefit the long-term, instead of consolidating resources to solve for large groups together using economies of scale, is exactly how the fossil fuel industry has been successful for generations at ensuring no progress is made. It's a divide-and-conquer approach.

It absolutely isn't if you are comparing a gas stove vs an induction one. You are losing a huge amount of the heat around the pan and warming your room with gas.

Exactly this! They started from some emotional/political/vibes-based treatment that didn't work because obviously, then suddenly they want to be all facts-driven when they could face some criticism for gumming up our healthcare system with their nonsense.
Washington state is fully mail-in. In recent years, MAGA terrorists have started setting drop boxes on fire here. If mail becomes unreliable, I expect that to accelerate. This is a hot war.

I can see that, I guess even practicing deployment would be useful. There's enough weird splintering in some projects that even perceived competition can seem like trouble.
