I'm not so sure about that. Hexbear called me a fascist and a lib in the same thread. 😆
Communist is still the wrong word if they want people not to get the wrong idea.
One thing I didn't mention is that custom Discord invite links are also allowed, even though they track the number of users joined, which is the same type of information as collected by a custom 3minutes link. Yet no "Tracking link" addition from Grant.
Fallout keeps getting renewed, so it seems to be doing well.
He enables it like all the others on it, yes, even if they oppose it in principle. That doesn't automatically make them fascists, but it makes them complicit.
Vivaldi makes it easier for Google to maintain its monopoly and dictate how things are on the web. Google is way worse than Mozilla in every aspect. A Firefox fork is the way.
And then relaxing the requirements for granting citizenship to nothing more than staying in the country for less than one parliamentary term period, and not requiring citizenship at all to vote in local and regional elections.
A self-described anarchist taking issue with Sweden requiring living in the country "continuously for at least eight years" before being able to obtain citizenship.
The keybind explanations aren't particularly descriptive and it would be good if there were better descriptions for the reactions in particular, maybe even with a preview of each. Other than that, the event was great. Thanks.
I can't see the post at the link, as it must have been removed, but going by your description, that's also how it was for me on Hexbear (the Web Archive link there works). I ignored the worst comments but replied to the ones that seemed reasonable, yet ended up banned anyway. Then they proceeded to literally harass me against the comm's rules, with one admin threatening to ban me from a reddit community they moderate over that incident on Lemmy. There's hardly a better example of textbook harassment. I don't think there's any hope for them as a collective. I feel like us expecting reason from them is just our naivete or belief in people being better. And to be clear, they obviously don't represent all or even a significant subset of people - it's just that we were looking for hope and reason in the wrong places.
Edit: Slightly clarified; improved a link.
