Not every left-wing idea is great and not every right-wing idea is bad. It really depends.

For instance, american red states have really dumb gun laws but they make it very easy to build housing.

Here is a statement from him:

“Look at what Chavez achieved in Venezuela. Our goal is similar. We want to transform an angry people into a revolutionary people. This is what we want in France”*

Here is the official X account of his political party :

“Capitalism isn’t a system that can be regulated. Our goal is system change”

He and his supporters HATE when you call him far-left.

We have had a debate for months on his wikipedia page over whether or not he is far left.

    • Said Ukraine should have respected Russia
    • Wrote an entire book attacking the EU
    • He was endorsed by the anti-capitalist movement (NPA) in several elections.
    • He once called Venezuela a source of inspiration
    • Once describe businessmen as "the class of exploiters"
    • Called several critics "degenerate bourgeois"
    • Sentenced to jail for physically pushing a prosecutor on camera
    • He is more to the left than Pedro Sanchez or Jeremy Corbyn

I wrote that he is far-left on his wikipedia page.

Someone deleted it. Someone added "far-left" again. Someone deleted that again. Someone added "far-left" again. The Wikipedia French administrators ended up intervening. His official article now says "Some consider him far-left".

For the record, 70% of french people surveyed call him far-left:

    They are left-center/left at best,

    Left of center 🤔 ?

Here is Jean-Luc Melenchon, the official leader of LFI :

"Look at what Chavez achieved in Venezuela. Our goal is to transform an angry people into a revolutionary people. Like Chavez did. This is what we want in France. What I'm pushing for"*

Here is the official X account of LFI :

"Capitalism is not a system that can be regulated. Our goal is radical change"

It's okay to be far-left. It's not a crime dude.

Many french people don’t know this, but Defense is actually one of the most important sectors of the French economy, alongside tourism and luxury.

And the largest clients of French defense industry?

Saudi Arabia. Qatar. The United Arab Emirates...
