Both episodes feature a female officer being abducted and later participating in a fight to the death, which both parties survive. In further coincidence, both episodes are the fourth episodes of their shows' first season.

From the Memory Alpha page:

At a Star Trek panel at DragonCon 2010, Star Trek: Voyager actor Garrett Wang said this episode "stinks", to which LeVar Burton agreed, adding, "Without question." Furthermore, Wang attributed his viewing of the episode as the reason why he ended up landing the role of Harry Kim, stating that, had he watched another episode of TNG, he would have been "too nervous" during his audition, as he would have ended up being a big fan of the show: "So three times I tried watching [the series] and I realized God was telling me 'Do not watch Star Trek: The Next Generation'." This work assembles a Tamarian- English dictionary of utterances from the original episode and several follow-on novels, and uses this to construct a parallel corpus of 456 English-Tamarian utterances.

For more serious writing on the Tamarian language subject, see this and chapter 5 of this.

Vulcans are supposed to be the most logical beings but it seems oddly unlogical they greet each other with "live long and prosper"

The greeting seems to be concerned to much reflecting a general physics understanding of life and reality.

That's why I'm looking for alternative Vulcan greetings like:

One person says: Variable The other says And not the opposite of anything

Or Accept indeterminacy

Heyho Captains!

We knew the Star Trek fandom is a dedicated one - but what happened yesterday broke the boundaries of even our biggest, utopical dreams - you guys rock!

Thanks to everyone as well who celebrated the launch together with parts of the team in our Discord. You weren’t there? Don’t worry, you can still join us and use the “@ask a dev Ping” to voice your feedback.

Talking about feedback, the team is already working on a fix for two of the main issues:

Saving

We have heard you - very loudly… no for real, our ears are still ringing. It is a little bit more complicated than “just allowing saving whenever” - But we have seen what your desired outcome is and we are doing our best to find a solution that brings you there - without diminishing crucial game design decisions.

Crashes

The game might crash at certain points (e.g. red alert bridge) on lower spec hardware when using FSR Upscaling (e.g. on Ryzen Z1 / Z2, nVidia 1000 series). This can be solved by reducing the graphic settings to medium / low and cap at 30fps or by deactivating FSR.

We are working on a longtime solution, it might not be the first thing we can fix, though.

Additionally, there are some other smaller issues we already have found a fix for or are right now in the process of creating one - we will send out a smaller Patch before we can tackle the bigger stuff (Save solution).

Thanks again for your awesome dedication and hype you are generating!

See you in the Delta Quadrant!
