what do we think of the "The Amazing Digital Circus" ending?
(Whole 9 episode run is on youtube for those curious)
I thought it was a solid 5/10 ending. Tied up most of the loose ends but lacked brevity in a way that was highly noticeable. It could've been 30 min realistically. I think the whole show is closer to a 7/10. If you know any teenagers/young adults who would enjoy "baby's first psychological horror" this is a good recommend.
That scene with Caine and the Moon broke me, its so tender and the line delivery of both voice actors were phenomenal, so much emotion.
"You know, I never programmed you to say you loved me".
"i know".
GOD, its so good, I'm even tearing up a little writing this.
I fully believe this is Caine realising the NPC's are more human and more complicated than he ever intended, and if this show were to ever get a continuation or any crumb of extension in any form, I would love them to explore this revelation further.
::: Spoiler for episode 9
Well, I'm glad to say I kept the fish's promise.

I took my brother and went to see last act. Goose really did a marvelous thing with this show. She tapped into the best of the neurodivergent internet community and gave them something to come out of their basements for. Please understand I mean this in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY.
I heard people crying at “the scene” (glitch said no spoilers but if you’ve seen it you know exactly the one I’m talking about). I heard people singing along with the theme introducing the cast members. The applause at the end wasn’t ceremonial and exaggerated but genuine. It felt like the audience finally exhaled together.
There was a scene with Jax unloading some personal shit that was really heavy where my eyes went wide and I slowly turned to my brother and even in the dark he said he felt it.
“Dude, it’s mom.”
And yet it hit different in a crowd like this than it would with damn near any other fandom. I felt…heard. For something a purple asshole said for me. I’m 40 fucking years old and the abuse I’ve carried around for years suddenly felt lighter.
Gooseworks, you might have convinced me to give therapy another try.
Please stop saying "six seven", as that slang term is meaningless. It’s just a number, nothing more, nothing less.
Instead of repeating it, share your thoughts about The Last Act in the comments. Think about what you think is going to happen, what you expect, and how you feel as the time gets closer.
In the first half, I think there's some sort of code created by the sharp sound that happens on each cut. I tried translating the first three (out of four) groups as binary and as morse, but nothing came out. It's way too specific with how rhythmic this sound is though, maybe it's a song? I don't think it matches Daisy Bell tho...
Watched some red dwarf after watching episode 8 and realised there are some similarities between the two shows. Not much but the basic concept is there, computer taking care of humans going on adventures and dealing with relationships between the characters.
Just thought I'd mention it since I love both of these shows.
It seems like they had the same kinda idea of deconstructing object shows, and the story seems pretty similar as well (except the going back to real-life parts, of course)
I tried seeing if anyone else had thought of this online but I couldn't find anything. I was surprised since it seemed pretty obvious to me while watching TADC
I made or edited the full fanmade credits for The Amazing Digital Circus movie. It took a while, but I did my best to make them as accurate and complete as possible.
Honestly, I have no idea which film companies would be suitable for this, just like with the upcoming Backrooms movie, where it's hard to guess what would fit best.
So, yeah, this is just my version of what the credits could look like. Feel free to edit or add to it.
spoilerIn the last two screenshots you can see a line reading "DELETE THIS M***********, HAHAHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". The start of the line is obscured but it very possible could read "BUBBLE:". I've seen speculation that Bubble is what's left of the other AI (that Caine "ate" in the starting sequence) and this would definitely support that theory.
